What this site is
IEP Goal Desk publishes example IEP goals and a tool that writes one from values you choose. Every goal here is an example written for a skill, not for a student.
An IEP goal must be individualized by the IEP team from the student's own present levels of academic achievement and functional performance. Nothing on this site is legal advice, educational advice, or a clinical judgement, and nothing here can tell you whether a student is eligible for services or what a school is required to provide.
Using the goals
Use them. Copy a goal into an IEP, adapt it, hand it to a colleague, put it in a district template — that is what it is here for, and no attribution is required. What you may not do is republish the bank itself: scraping the goals to build a competing collection, or redistributing them as your own product, is not covered.
Academic standards are referenced by code only. The text of any standard belongs to whoever published it and is not reproduced here; if you quote a standard in your own document, that is between you and its licence.
No warranty
The site is provided as it is. We check the goals and the regulation citations carefully and date what we read, but we cannot guarantee that a goal fits a particular student, satisfies a particular state's requirements, or will be accepted by a particular team. The team writing the IEP is responsible for what goes in it.
